OmniFi v2026.2: Introducing apps
OmniFi v2026.2 introduces Applications, a powerful new way to extend the platform with custom features. Applications are extensions within OmniFi Web, combining tailored user interfaces with self-contained logic for specialized tasks.
Applications are used and managed from the Applications page.
OmniFi is modular and extensible by nature, supporting connectors to integrate third-party systems, workflow extensions for deep automation and query modules for database abstraction. Applications build much further on this idea and bring together custom user interfaces, custom business logic, OmniFi and third-party API's into one unit.
Each Application includes a JavaScript-driven front-end UI that has direct access to OmniFi and can utilize CORS enabled third-party party API's. Depending on complexity and requirements, Applications can optionally include a microservice back-end for heavy-duty processing, as well as separate storage for a full front-to-back solution. Apps can also bring their own permissions that plug directly in to OmniFi's RBAC system, giving you fine-grained access control.

The new Applications capability empowers you to enhance OmniFi with standard and bespoke tools and integrations, all while OmniFi's identity and RBAC systems provide the security and identity features you require. It’s a leap beyond standard extensions, bringing more power, flexibility, and speed to innovate on OmniFi.
Configurable home dashboard
Applications also provide widgets; Small, focused views that you can place on your Home screen to have access to at-a-glance. Your home screen is now fully configurable, you can place and size widget cards any way you want.
Your Home dashboard is now a customizable grid where you can place the information that matters the most to you.
